I accept. I'm happy with the group of prospects I get back for Rudy and this should clearly show the direction I want to take the Raptors. My goal is to bottom out by the 2014 draft and bring in the hometown boy.

Really don't like this for the Magic. I'm on the fence to reject with how much Tobias showed last year, not to mention Harkless has a ton of talent and flashed a little last year too. Nicholson has potential and talent to boot. All 3 are young, all 3 are very cheap...Penny is getting caught up in a rating, and Alex is trying to pull another Paul George type of swap!
I was on the fence to reject that Paul George thing when it went through, so I'm just hesitant to go against my gut in these types of trades.
I'm close to a reject, but I'll hold off giving my vote for now.
I'm not going to act like these players suck since I'm quite happy with what I'm getting in return for Rudy but these guys haven't really done anything yet. Tobias is the closest thing to a good player but that's all based on a 27 game sample size for one of the worst teams in the league. I'd expect his numbers to be inflated. Harkless is a decent prospect but only because he is still just 20 years old. He's very raw and his performance last season was very average. Nicholson's best attribute to me is that he's Canadian, I think his career trajectory tops out at being a 6th man.
Compared to Rudy who's essentially guaranteed to give you 18-20 points and 6 rebounds per game. He's not a #1 option like he is portrayed as by some but he's a very good player.

I agree Walt, but I always see these things in terms of what's fair to both GMs (and what's the best policy for the league going forward). Obviously we only have Alex to think of since Penny's left, but I'd be pretty pissed if I was Alex and this got rejected now.
Also I'm not so convinced it's bad for the Magic. These are three young players with potential that Orlando would have hung onto if I was their GM. They're not very high on anyone's radar but that doesn't mean they wont break out any time soon obviously. But Rudy Gay isn't worthless, he's got value, a new GM can come in and trade him, and a good GM can trade him for an even better set of rebuilding blocks.
For those reasons I'd stick with an accept.
It depends on what Alex thinks of course, but I imagine you still want to do this Alex?
and a good GM can trade him for an even better set of rebuilding blocks.
What are you implying here Mr. Noble?
I'd obviously still like this trade to go through, I want Rudy Gay and most other player with higher ratings to be off my roster since I'm trying to be godawful for the next two season. I want a roster of prospects with low ratings so after I draft Andrew Wiggins I can have a team with a ton of potential.
With the issue of Penny leaving I think all that matters is whether or not this hurts the desirability of the Magic in terms of new GMs, and I don't think it does. It might even increase it since Rudy Gay has star power and while I'm getting a few good prospects you couldn't classify any of those three guys as 'elite'.
It's at 2-1 so we still have to hear from Dominique. But even if he rejects if we're using the 'Ian is the tiebreaker' rule then this deal is already accepted. Otherwise I don't know.

This trade should be declined IMO, the new Orlando GM left and didn't even post a reason for accepting the deal, and we haven't even started yet. Plus, Gay's contract and lack of efficiency make him less valuable than Harris, Nicholson, and Harkless, who, at least one of them, are developing and are very worth their contracts. Why would a GM with a rebuilding roster want a near $20 million dollar "all-star" over three developing cheap prospects?
Just throwing in my two cents where it ain't needed.

Well Blake, we have started, but otherwise I agree with what you're saying.
I get looking out for Alex here but I'm surprised you're doing it potentially at the expense of the league. If a GM leaves before a trade is accepted it should automatically get dumped in the reject pile, just my opinion, not even necessarily about this deal (that's a different issue), but just the larger issue of a GM leaving.
Agree to disagree obviously, since you've already stated your opinion. When Tobias shows he's damn near just about as good as Gay for 1/10 the contract, and the Orlando team is also missing out on two other very interesting youngsters, I'll be there to say I told you so :-)
Funny/sad thing is, so will Alex, laughing all the way to a great pick (this time his own) while getting players that will earn rating increases and pushing him up the rankings pretty quick in a year or two.

Hey I didn't notice this was moved to 'accepted trades'. Rudy Gay is also off my roster in the database but the three guys aren't on my roster either. Maybe they couldn't get passports? Which would be odd for Nicholson. But, welcome to Toronto maybe?

How come this was moved to the accept? It's 2-1 and Nique' has not voted yet.
Sorry guys, I'm really not liking how things are going so far in this league. I'm going to call it quits and resign. I'm not sure whether it's favoritism towards trade committee members that has led to trades that should have been trashed or not accepted in the first place to pass or what. I don't think it's favoritism, but I'm dumbfounded as to why trades that should have never been passed are being passed and nobody has taken a stance against it.
I'll see you guys at Dynasty Five. I wish everyone the best of luck in this league. Hopefully things change and I rejoin next season, we shall see.

Billy it was prob a mistake. Ian has two leagues and a life, plus try's to enjoy the leagues. Stop being a crybaby! If you just wait for an answer you might realize this but you want to be a little pussy. Grow up!
Seems like a strange reason to leave, but ok. I'm sure someone else will love to take over the Rockets roster, I think they've got by far the coolest lineup coming into this season, can't wait to see them play now I have "BT Sport" over here in the UK

Sorry, guys I thougth I had voted on this one...MB
I would vote to reject. While many think Gay isn't that great in sims, I think the others are a lot worse than Gay IMO. He may not be the best player in the league but he could still fetch more than what's being offered. Sorry.
If its truly 2-2 I would like to put I'm my GM vote to reject. There would have to be at least one 80+ rated player involved for him or at least draft picks and a better player than Harris.
