Dynasty Five's Trading Regulations.
Trade Deadlines.
New GMs.
New GMs must wait a week after being inducted into the league before submitting any trades.
- Keep all trade offers and negotiations limited to Private Messages (PMs) between GMs.
- If you are over the cap after a trade, your incoming salaries must not exceed 125% of your outgoing salaries.
- If neither team exceeds the salary cap after a trade, then there is no 125% rule.
- No team must exceed more than 15 players in their lineup. If a trade means that a team does exceed this limit, they must first release a player before the deal can be completed.
- Trading of draft picks is allowed up to a maximum of four years in the future. Picks may not be traded in consecutive years.
- Whether a trade is fair or not, the result of collusional activity or whether a trade is a simple act of dumping players will be decided by Staff Members and subjected to their approval/disapproval.
- No more than two trades can be made each week by GMs with less than 3 months experience.
- Three-way-trades are allowed. But not four-way-trades or more.
- Players signed during Off Season Free Agency cannot be traded until December 15th of the regular season following their signing.
- GMs cannot change their mind about a trade once they've posted the trade thread or replied with an acceptance.
- There are five Trade Committee members. If a trade involving a Trade Committee member's team is deadlocked at 2 accepts/2 rejects then all GMs in the league are given 24 hours to provide their unbiased opinion on the trade. If GM votes continue to remain deadlocked then the trade will pass.
Trade Deadlines.
- April 1st: Playoff Team Trade Deadline - only teams who are not included in the playoffs may trade after this date.
- April 19th: Expiring Players Trade Deadline - from this day until the Off Season Free Agency & Re-Signing Period ends, teams cannot trade players with expiring contracts.
New GMs.
New GMs must wait a week after being inducted into the league before submitting any trades.
- Dynasty Five is a league which requires patience and rewards planning. Too often new GMs enter the league and trade away assets that have taken a long time to acquire, a week of induction gives new GMs the time to consider multiple trade requests and take stock of their situation before making any decisions.
