76 Tristan Thompson $4,006,000 - $4,286,000 - $5,421,000 Cavaliers are over the salary cap. Salary incoming $3.56 MM = 89% of outgoing
Cavaliers make this trade to fill in the gaping hole at shooting guard with Jesus Shuttlesworth. Trading a bench warmer (w/ lots of upside) for a starting SG with the ability to make 3s and spread the floor for my bigs. Murphy is a throw in to make the salaries work, but is also a serviceable back-up. Earl Clark slides back to his role as back-up PF behind the foul prone Zed-bo.
i accept this deal. although im losing a little bit of talent my future is very good with the addtion of thompson + i can slide down lebron into point guard and have thompson or battier starting at SF.
Cleveland are going for the win-now policy so I understand Ray Allen, but Mr McAdoo I think you should probably pay more attention to the long-term. Zach Randolph and Ray Allen are good guys, but your Cavs have a closing window of opportunity, even with Kyrie around.
If this team (average rating 80+) of Kyrie, Jesus, A. Gee, Zed-bo and imaginary healthy Bynum can't at least win 75% of the remaining games and make the 2nd round of the play-offs then I'll slam the window myself.
If a team needs 90+ rated players to contend, then I'll switch strategies and build for the future to develop / sign free agents rated above 88.
McAdoo seems intent on trading Tristan and getting old players for him, I guess I'll just accept.
I think it's not a smart move long-term at all, and also don't think this gets him a championship, so I don't think it's smart, but not likely to kill him on this trade alone.

Good luck with that.
I guess I'll accept this though since Bob is so intent on trading away his future for the present. This team is basically an apocalypse waiting to happen. Bynum, Randolph and Allen will all be due for huge decreases in the very near future. But at least the Cavs aren't supposed to be good anyway.
PG - Goran Dragic | SG - Terrence Ross | SF - Maurice Harkless | PF - Enes Kanter | C - Jonas Valanciunas
This deal actually takes Miami below 12 players and, whilst a lot of teams don't have the regulation number of players, instead of forcing teams to sign players I'm just going to crack down on it by disallowing trades like this until the issue is fixed.
Please sign a player Troy, to bring your lineup back to at least 12 players.
