I reject. This trade makes absolutely no sense for the Cavs. Tristan is worth way more than just Chalmers to begin with, plus there is no need for him with Kyrie Irving and Jarrett Jack already on the roster, plus the Cavs only other back up post player is Jeremy Tyler. I don't understand why Cleveland would accept this.

Alex, Tristan has been a huge disappointment and I think that while his eventual upside may be higher than SuperMario's I think it is a lot further away, timewise. Tristan has been getting garbage time minutes only - he is 9th man in my rotation. Please make an offer if you are interested.
Ian, I don't know that Mario Chalmers is a 3rd string PG. More like back-up PG and spot starting SG. Yes, Jordan Crawford has not been the scorer I need at SG and I`m looking to add some 3 pt shooting too.

You're putting way too much weight on sim results man. A player's value is based on real life performances and Tristan improved a lot over his rookie year last season and had an excellent pre-season going into this year. If he has another good year he'll be due for a rating increase.

I will just say, I agree this doesn't make sense b/c Chalmers will be CLE's 3rd PG in this game...but Chalmers is not a backup, or a backup to a backup, he's a starting PG in the NBA. So, his value should also be related to that, not just what CLE will have after this.
Maybe he has a plan to make another move?
Does this deal leave either team bereft of talent? Is the talent really that far off between these two? We've all seen "potential" not pan out. Not saying that will or won't happen with Tristan, but at this point I just find it hard putting in a reject here, especially with the types of deals that have gone through in this league. At least both of these guys are relatively young, it's not a 30+ year old bench player being traded for a 20 year old guy with potential and talent.
Again I agree I don't see why CLE does this, at least not on the surface, but I could see him making a trade or trying different lineups, and I don't think this trade cripples either team, which is what I thought was our main criteria for putting in a reject.

I don't know that it's our "main criteria", but it's a factor and I agree with you Walt.
I can't see why Cleveland would ever make this trade, but it's not worthy of a reject.
Also the Rules state that Bob McAdoo cannot back out of this trade now that it's posted:
GMs cannot change their mind about a trade once they've posted the trade thread or replied with an acceptance.
So unless Troy Bolton changes his mind, this deal will be left up to the committee to decide.
Ian - accept Walt - accept Dominique - reject Alex - reject
I'm gonna reject. Cleveland doesn't want to do this trade anymore and Thompson (22 years old) was decent enough last year to be worth more than Chalmers.
