I accept. I pick up another couple of prospects. Fournier is raw, but I think he's got some potential and he's still only 20 years old. Quincy Miller is named Quincy, which means I'll have 2 of the 3 Quincys in the league. Watch out Quincy Pondexter, you're next.
PG - Goran Dragic | SG - Terrence Ross | SF - Maurice Harkless | PF - Enes Kanter | C - Jonas Valanciunas
I can't reject this but this is exactly the stuff (on a smaller scale) that JR did that ruined his Spurs' future. Fournier has talent, real-life Denver seems to like him, why deal him for Ridnour when you already have Barea? Same rating.
If anything you could maybe use a backup C, not a 2nd backup PG. Even if you plug Ridnour or barea at SG, that moves Chandler to SF? Gallinari to PF? Derrick Williams to C?
I think it's silly, why are you trading away a potential future building block for a guy who crowds up your bench?
I'm trying to put together talented rated players to help me contend for the title this season. I already have the choice not to pick up Bareas team option after the season and with this trade I may save even more cap after the season because Ridnour is an expiring. That's 9 mil in cap space if I choose too.
It's 3-1 on the committee but I think it's always good to keep discussion open. Walt and I both have the same concerns here.
I suppose if one of your lineup players were involved I'd be more diligent, but as it stands I'm content to let Alex continue to amass his pedofile camp for kids ;D
Yea I don't see enough to reject but I don't understand it at all for you JR. It's just the same type of thing that ended up making your D5 Spurs team a mess of middling players that no one wants...Just saying.
You aren't really gaining cap space next year in this trade either. If you only want cap space you could not pick up the option on either of the players you are giving up here. Worst case, you just drop them. Best case, who knows, Fournier carves out a role and gets a boost, and you have something to build on.
I am just concerned to see the same pattern we have already seen really hurt a franchise in the other league.
I understand. I'm not adding old vets for lots of salary and I do understand Fourniers raw but once here soon just like the Spurs we will be contending for the championship. Not just the West like before. We still have talent and we will stay mostly young but yet again a GM brings in not only talent, but players that are liked, by style and personality just as well as skill.
Sorry but, lmao at calling it a great move. It is, at best, a mediocre move to get you a second backup pg rated the same as your other backup pg. If you play either at SG, you are taking minutes away from other better players, or pushing Derrick Williams into the role of backup center?
